If you’ve already had a chance to read our last blog, then you know that finding time to sew can be difficult, especially when you have a busy schedule. We discussed a few things that you can do to help you find more time in your schedule to sew, like putting creativity time into your schedule, eliminating the guilt, and making a space in your house for sewing. The following is a list of more tips to help you spend more time working on your favorite cheap sewing machine:
- Learn to be more proactive- We react to things all day long. These things can include emails from work, phone calls, etc., which can all take away from the projects that you intend to work on. Rather than simply responding to things that come up, take a more proactive approach to your time and eliminate the distractions (even if it’s just for twenty minutes)!
- Find a routine- Sewing takes time and energy, and there aren’t too many projects that you can complete in just one sitting. That is why you should schedule sewing time into your daily routine until you no longer have to think about it. This will make it so much easier to find time to sew!
- Take stock of your moods- Pay attention to how you are feeling throughout the day. Do you get your inspiration right when you wake up in the morning or right before dinner time? Rearrange your schedule so that you can sew when you are feeling the most inspired and creative.
- Do things that matter- Sit down and really prioritize your time. Rather than spending two hours a night watching TV, try filling that time with something that really matters to you, like sewing or playing with your kids.
